Bertie is a Naarm-based DJ, Producer, Radio Host and Party Planner who stylistically ventures across a spectrum of groove. Known to blend the rules, she spans an eclectic mix of soul, disco, and house, all the way to prog, hard groove, and deeper and darker dance music realms.

Her musical journeys are exactly that; a guided exploration from start to finish. A fusion of percussive beats, acidic motifs, euphoric highlights, and groovy undertakings. The result is a synergistically uplifting experience designed to get you up and moving and leave you wanting more.

In 2022 Bertie brought this cultivated sound into the art of music production, releasing her debut track ‘Pillow Queen’ on the Phenomenal Vol 2. Compilation via Phenomena Records. Then in 2023 she released her debut single ‘Carabiner’ on the same label - a punchy, euphoric house track inspired by her queer identity.

Production ventures aside, she also co-runs Club Aqueous, an event series prioritising underrepresented local and international artists, and shares her ever-expanding collection of laid back groovers via her show ‘Cup of Bertea’ on Skylab Radio.

With an impressive array of festivals already under her belt (Pitch Music & Arts, Strawberry Fields, Sugar Mountain, Gaytimes, Wonder Mountain and Beyond the Valley), and an EP set for release in early 2024, it’s clear that Bertie is just getting started.
