Australian/Indonesian DJ, producer and label founder Claire O’Brien draws upon an extensive sonic palette to create memorable dance floor moments. She curates forward-thinking club selections with a sensual sound that cuts deep. An eclectic blend of bass, percussion and trance textures with sweet harmonic tones, inspired by the Asian diaspora, UK bass and her roots in Australia’s bush doof culture
She is the founder of Ode, a community-focused label and event series promoting emerging and fringe artists from around the world through radio shows and sought-after parties in secret locations. She is a strong advocate for inclusion in contemporary electronic music, holding free DJ workshops for femme, BIPOC and LGBTQ individuals of all abilities, and writing on living with hearing damage as a young performing artist for internationally renowned DJ publication Mixmag.
She has performed at festivals like Boiler Room, Warehouse Project, Pitch Music and Arts, A3, Mode, Dark Mofo and Otherside Ireland and supported artists including Djrum, Nikki Nair, Call Super, Bitter Babe, Priori, Aloka, Mall Grab and Effy.
