DJ Sarah kicked her career off as a DJ and producer in her hometown of Naarm/Melbourne where she has become one of the scene’s most loved selectors, and been an integral part of building her city’s dance music ecosystem into the flourishing community it is today. A self-proclaimed international woman of mystery, she now lives between Melbourne, London and occasionally Berlin.
As one half of Australian duo IN2STELLAR, she’s toured extensively, performing at some of the world’s most coveted clubs and festivals, and released a catalogue of self produced music on widely respected labels like Fabric, Dansu Discs and Method808.
Having shared studio and stage spaces with artists such as Papa Nugs, Confidence Man, and Spray, DJ Sarah combines a keen ear for sonic detail with a fearless, curious approach to music production. This sensibility carries through to her DJing, where over a decade of experience gives her a deep well of knowledge to draw from. Her sound is shaped by early clubbing memories of 2010s tech house, house and electro, later expanding through time spent in Europe’s techno clubs and a growing love for breaks, jungle and bass music - all of which now weave through her sets and productions.
Sarah has always maintained a strong community-focused ethos, mentoring the next generation through initiatives such as WIP Project and her annual DJ101 workshops which have helped launch the careers of over fifty female, trans and non-binary DJs, reflecting a vision for dance music and her peers that has always extended far beyond herself.
