DJ Scorpion is a Naarm-based DJ and music programmer.
Her sets are less about genre and more about feeling. There’s a sense of freedom to how she moves through techno, jungle, DnB, IDM, tech house, psy and beyond, following energy rather than rigid genre confines.This energy that she tries to channel sits somewhere between deep dance floor euphoria, psychedelic mind bending and and a fully charged somatic release where time distorts.
Before focusing more fully on DJing, she built a career in music programming, including serving as Music Director at FBi Radio — shaping taste, supporting emerging artists, and developing a deep understanding of how people connect with music. She previously ran the cult label and radio show Body Promise and co-founded the NECTAR agency alongside Andy Garvey, both grounded in a shared approach to music as something physical, communal, and felt.
In recent years she has played across Australia and internationally, including Inner Varnika, Strawberry Fields, Pitch, Freedom Time and Soma, as well as Minimal Collective’s ADE party at De School in Amsterdam. A last-minute set at Solstice Festival in Finland became one of the festival’s most talked-about moments. She has also toured Australia alongside Andy Garvey, and played numerous all-night-long sets across clubs locally and abroad.
Her mixes have appeared via Bizarro (Resident Advisor Mix of the Month), Butter Sessions, Melbourne Deepcast, Red Light Radio and Animalia.
