Hugo Gerani is the dance music project of Perth based instrumentalist Eleventeen Eston (1/2 Wilson Tanner). Hugo burst through the pack locally in 2007 with his well intentioned and well renowned ‘wide eyed teenage’ DJ sets at inner-city-pub basement parties together with suburban warehouse raves, immediately establishing his sincere infatuation with esoteric italo, synth & house and becoming one of Perth’s most sought after DJs.
Since then he has contributed a deep, weird & effortless sound to Perth’s fledging scene, establishing himself as a DJ, producer and promoter, co- running essential Perth parties such as Daywoo, Pour Homme and A Beautiful Time.
He has warmed the knobs for and played alongside the likes of Max D, Omar S, Kenji Takimi, Tim Sweeney, Tom Trago, Massimiliano Pagliara, Ruf Dug and more, performing both interstate and internationally. Hugo’s debut 12” appeared as GCR 001 in 2015 on the now prolific Good Company Records.
In 2017, Hugo returned with a track appearing on Athens’ Echovolt Records ‘Mosaics’ compilation and his 12” EP, ‘Esplore’ on Perth’s Cosi Cosi Records, expanding upon his trademark unrelenting euphoria and low end hum.
