Once the Melbourne club scene patriarch behind the EBM-Industrial/dark mecca weekly club night Power Station, Kris Baha now resides in Berlin crafting the output of the label and telling tales from the lost party along with its newly born, Power Cuts.
Having played a hand in mastering/mixing and remixing the likes of Sfire, Die Wilde Jagd, CCat Trance, Bell Towers, Red Axes and Forces, Baha has long been crafting his own consuming, narcotic sound in the studio shadows.
We’ve already seen his bold entry to the Bahnsteig 23 edit series, The 83’ throwback remixes of Sfire on Especial and a versatile solo EP on Power Station, featuring five tracks of Düsseldorf meets Elettronica Meccanica. Still to come is a EP (pre LP) on Discodromo’s monthly party offshoot Cocktail D’Amore and another LP as Die Orangen, a strangers-in-a-strange-land collaboration with Dreems on Malka Tuti. Not wasting a minute on weekend recovery, there’s also incoming remixes for Jack Pattern, another revisit to Bahnsteig23, Pinkman Records and a solo Live Show.
Well accustomed to playing extended eclectic sets that swing between throbbing industrial dance, druggy mid-tempo chug and feverish synth pop, Kris Baha will send you around the bend.
